Pengaruh Pendayagunaan Zakat terhadap Peningkatan Kesejahteraan Ekonomi Mustahik di Desa O’o Kabupaten Dompu

This study investigated the effect of zakat utilization on the economic welfare of zakat recipients in a rural setting, addressing the gap between macro-level poverty reduction and the persisting micro-level economic vulnerability caused by conventional consumptive distribution patterns. A quantitative research approach was employed using an associative-explanatory design. Data were collected through questionnaires from sixty-three recipients who received productive zakat programs, selected via purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression to test the proposed hypothesis. The results indicated that zakat utilization had a positive and significant effect on the economic welfare of the recipients, contributing to a substantial portion of the variance in their economic improvement. The findings demonstrated that providing business capital, capacity training, and continuous mentoring effectively shifted the function of zakat from short-term charity to long-term economic empowerment. In conclusion, optimizing productive zakat distribution significantly enhanced household income and business growth, serving as a vital instrument to alleviate poverty and foster independent economic resilience among the rural communities.
